A wonderful way to get married is on a dinner cruise. There are several options in Key West. IsleEscapes and Sunset Culinaire are 2 cruises that cater from 4 to 20 persons. The ceremony can also be done on the sail, usually at sunset. This is a very special way to create a private, intimate experience and enjoy a delicious catered meal to your personal tastes. Cost varies based on the menu you select and the number of guests, but generally is in the $85 to $150 range per person. This is about what you would spend at a fine dining restaurant and on the sail you get the added luxury of sailing on a lovely yacht as well.
Also, many sail boats from 6 passenger vessels to large 100 passenger catamarans and schooners can also cater a wedding with fancy hors duerves. Generally the meal won't be as complete as on the dedicated culinary sails, but still allow combining the ceremony with a meal. The cake can also be cut and served on board all vessels.
The main advantage to these options is privacy and customization. No need to worry about securing a private spot on a public beach and you won't have (well meaning) strangers checking out your ceremony.
While planning this type of ceremony it is recommended to work with an experienced planner who can assist with contingencies in case of bad weather and who will work with you to arrange the details, officiant, photographer, music, etc. The captain and mates have enough to do in sailing and maintaining the vessel.
