The World Championship Power Boat races will be here before we know it. This is one of my favorite events of the year. Before moving to Key West in 1998, I had heard of these massive racing boats, but had never seen them in action. What a blast! The dates are November 8-15, 2009, most of the action is offshore, but good viewing can be had by grabbing a spot on the Gulf side of the island. The Galleon Resort Tiki Bar, The Ocean Key Resort, Mallory Square, and the Truman Waterfront and Ft. Taylor are the best spots. For more information check out the website at SuperBoat.com
